The Climate Action Tracker is an independent scientific analysis that tracks government climate action and measures it against the globally agreed Paris Agreement. CAT quantifies and evaluates climate change mitigation commitments, and assesses, whether countries are on track to meeting those. Country actions are aggregated to global level, determining temperature increase by the end of the century. Also presents a sectoral analysis to illustrate required pathways for meeting the global temperature goals.
Our World in Data presents the data and research to make progress against the world’s largest problems. One topic is for example: “Why did renewables become so cheap so fast? And what can we do to use this global opportunity for green growth?“, another is on emissions per sector
In January 2020 scientists from around the globe signed on to an article that stated just how bad the climate change issue was then. Now is the one-year anniversary and things are MUCH worse. The lead author of the article has pulled together an article in Scientific American and done a short You Tube video about what needs to be done – put in simple terms!! The article contains many links to more detailed information about different measures that should be taken asap.
